Overview
Ramp's Unified login feature simplifies the login experience for users with multiple Ramp accounts by consolidating them under a single email. This feature streamlines account management and allows users to seamlessly switch between different companies within the Ramp platform.
How it works
Unified login enables users to access and manage multiple Ramp accounts using a single email address. Here's how it works:
Step 1
When you first join Ramp, you will connect your email to an account.
Step 2
If you are invited to another Ramp account for a different business, the admin or owner of the new account can invite you using your primary email. For detailed instructions on inviting a user to Ramp, please refer to this article.
Step 3
Once you accept the invite for the new account, you can easily toggle between multiple accounts by clicking the drop-down menu at the top of the Ramp screen.
Step 4
To switch accounts on the Ramp mobile app:
1. Go to the application settings (gear icon on the top right corner).
2. Tap the Switch User button.
3. Select the desired account.
Use cases and examples
Unified login is particularly useful for:
- Business owners managing multiple companies with separate Ramp accounts
- Employees working for different organizations that use Ramp
- Accountants or bookkeepers handling finances for multiple clients on Ramp
For example, if you own two businesses, each with its own Ramp account, Unified login allows you to access both accounts using a single email address. You can then easily switch between the accounts to manage expenses, issue cards, and generate reports for each business separately.
Best practices and tips
- Use a strong, unique password for your Unified login to ensure the security of all linked accounts.
- Regularly review and update user permissions for each account to maintain proper access control.
- If you no longer need access to a linked account, request the account owner to remove your access to maintain data privacy.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
