Overview

Available on Ramp Plus. See Ramp Plus overview for plan details.

Ramp's current NetSuite connection uses Token-Based Authentication (TBA). If you are reviewing NetSuite platform or API requirements before you connect Ramp, this article explains the NetSuite settings Ramp currently requires and which setup guide to use for your account.

Start from the Accounting page in Ramp when you're ready to connect or reconnect NetSuite.

What Ramp requires in NetSuite

Ramp's current NetSuite connection requires these NetSuite features to be enabled:

If your NetSuite account does not use subsidiaries, the Ramp Integration record also uses these settings:

Choose the right setup guide

Depending on your NetSuite account, Ramp uses either the Ramp SuiteApp setup path or the Ramp RESTlet setup path described in those guides.

How Ramp handles compatibility

Ramp checks the installed Ramp SuiteApp or Ramp RESTlet version to determine which supported NetSuite capabilities are available in the connection.

Because of that, some NetSuite functionality can depend on the Ramp SuiteApp or Ramp RESTlet version currently installed in your NetSuite account.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ramp use OAuth 2.0 for the NetSuite integration?

No. Ramp's current NetSuite connection uses Token-Based Authentication. For the no-subsidiaries setup flow, create the Ramp Integration record with the TBA settings above and leave Authorization Code Grant unchecked.

Does Ramp use the same setup flow for every NetSuite account?

No. Ramp uses different setup guides depending on whether your NetSuite account uses subsidiaries. Check for Subsidiary Settings Manager in NetSuite first, then use the matching setup guide.

Does Ramp require a specific NetSuite API version?

Ramp's current customer-facing setup requirements are the NetSuite features and connection settings listed above. Ramp determines some supported capabilities from the installed Ramp SuiteApp or Ramp RESTlet version during the connection.
