International bank connections overview

Note: International bank connections require an Enterprise plan with International Issuing capabilities enabled. They are not available for Ramp accounts on the 1-day terms agreement.

As a Ramp customer, you must establish a connection to your business's bank account. For international entities, this is a manual connection.

We currently support making payments from local Canadian dollar (CAD), British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR) international bank accounts. Read more below about how it works for each currency.

Connecting a new CAD bank account

Follow these steps to connect a CAD bank account manually to your Ramp business:

  1. Navigate to Financial Accounts > Linked Accounts
  2. Click on Add linked account
  3. Adjust the Account currency to CAD
  4. Enter the details requested and review:
  1. Click I Agree

Connecting a new EUR bank account

Follow these steps to connect a EUR bank account manually to your Ramp business:

  1. Navigate to Financial Accounts > Linked Accounts
  2. Click on Add linked account
  3. Adjust the Account currency to EUR
  4. Enter the details requested and review:
  1. Click I Agree
  2. A PDF will be generated for you with the above the agreements and emailed to the business owner for your records.

Connecting a new GBP bank account

Follow these steps to connect a GBP bank account manually to your Ramp business:

  1. Navigate to Financial Accounts > Linked Accounts
  2. Click on Add linked account
  3. Adjust the Account currency to GBP
  4. Enter the details requested and review:
  1. Click I Agree
  2. Note that it can take up to 10 business days for the Bacs network to make GBP bank accounts accessible for debit.

Updating your international bank account

To update your account, you can:

Go to Company > Entities, click on the appropriate entity, then click on Cards. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner to access options like View Cards & Funds, View Transactions, and Edit Card Settings.

Click on Edit Card Settings, then navigate to Payment Sources. Click on Manage Sources to update the payment source as needed
