How to use cashback rewards

Note: This article primarily applies to Ramp Administrators. Cardholders may find other articles in the Savings and rewards section to be more applicable.

Overview

Cashback can be redeemed by Admins or Business Owners in Ramp for:

Your cashback will continue to accrue over time and will not expire. You can view your company's earned and redeemed cashback activity in the Company > Rewards > Rewards activity.

Applying cashback to reduce or pay a card statement payment

You can redeem cashback to reduce your card statement balance at anytime in the Rewards or Company > Statement & paymentstab, as long as you don't have any outstanding balances to Ramp. Any cashback redeemed for card statement payments will be applied immediately to reduce your current statement balance and reflected in the upcoming statement.

From Company > Rewards tab:

  1. Click Reduce card balance
  2. Type in the amount you want to redeem for your card statement

From the Company > Statement & paymentstab :

  1. Click Payments
  2. Click Redeem cashback
  3. Type in the amount you want to redeem for your card statement

Cashback can be applied to your card statement through manual redemption. At this time, we don’t offer automatic redemptions.

Redeeming cashback directly into Ramp Checking Account

You can redeem cashback directly into your Ramp Checking Account, turning points into usable operating funds instantly.

From Company > Rewards tab:

  1. Click Initiate transferunder Deposit cashback
  2. Enter the amount to redeem
  3. Choose your destination Ramp Checking Account (if you have more than one)
  4. Click Initiate transfer
  5. Your cashback will appear in the selected Ramp Checking Account immediately

If you don’t have a Ramp Checking Account yet, you can open one during the redemption flow.

Applying cashback toward subscription and fees (Ramp Plus, Bill Pay fees, etc.)

You can apply cashback toward Ramp Plus subscription fees, Bill Pay fees, and other charges. Activate automatic deduction of available cashback to pay for your billing statement. Here's how it works:

From the Company > Statements & payments tab:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Toggle on the Redeem cashback settings to deduct available cashback for your next Ramp Service payment

Applying cashback toward airline and hotel loyalty points

You must have the member ID of the recipient of the loyalty points, and their name in Ramp must match their name in their loyalty account.

Example: for a person named Robert Smith, their Ramp account and loyalty program account must both be under the same name. The redemption will fail if one account is under “Bob Smith” and the other is “Robert Smith.”

  1. Go to Company → Rewards
  2. Find the loyalty program you want to redeem for
  3. Select who the recipient is
  4. Type in the member ID of the loyalty program for the recipient
  5. Type in the number of loyalty points the recipient should receive
  1. The recipient should see the points reflected in their loyalty program account in two business days once the credit has been processed by the loyalty program

Note: All loyalty point transfers are final. Once a transfer has been initiated, it cannot be canceled or reversed.

Applying cashback toward gift cards

The digital gift card will be sent to the email they sign into Ramp with. Recipients should receive the email within 24 hours after the redemption is completed. Please be sure to check your Spam or junk folders.

  1. Go to Company Rewards
  2. Find the gift card you want to redeem for
  3. Select who the recipient(s) is
  1. Select the amount for the gift card
  2. (Optional) Add a note that will be included in the email the recipient(s) receives
  3. Recipient(s) will receive an email with a code and link to redeem the digital gift card within 24 hours after the redemption is completed. The gift card will also appear on the recipient's homepage in the Redeem rewards section. If needed, you can resend the gift card from the Rewards activity page.

Gift cards are issued in USD and can only be used in USD.

Donating cashback toward charities

The confirmation will be sent to the email of the initiator. Initiator should receive the email within 24 hours after the redemption is completed. Please be sure to check your Spam or junk folders.

  1. Go to Company Rewards
  2. Find the charity you want to redeem for
  3. Select the amount to donate
  4. Initiator will receive an email with the confirmation within 24 hours after the redemption is completed
