Will my Ramp card work internationally?
Overview
Ramp cards work in most countries outside the United States, including Canada, Mexico, and countries in Europe. To protect you from fraudulent international charges, Ramp has real-time monitoring in place. This monitoring will alert you if any transactions are not expected so you can easily review them. Our system may still send an SMS to your phone to confirm legitimate charges, but you only need to respond accordingly to verify.
How it works
The globe icon on the Reimbursements and Transaction page next to each line item indicates whether it was an international transaction. Hovering over the icon will indicate the amount of international currency used. Clicking on the reimbursement or transaction will display the currency conversion across the top.

Some international transactions may still be declined because the transaction country is restricted by the card network or issuer. If that happens, you may see a decline reason such as Blocked country or Transaction country not supported, and you may receive a message that the transaction took place in a flagged country.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to set a travel notice before using my Ramp card abroad?
No. Ramp does not have a travel notification feature, and none is required. Your card works internationally without any advance notice. See Travel notices for Ramp cards for details.
Can I review a full list of blocked countries?
Ramp does not publish a full Help Center list of unsupported countries. If a transaction is declined because of country restrictions, check the decline reason in Ramp or any SMS from Ramp for messaging such as Blocked country, Transaction country not supported, or that the transaction took place in a flagged country. These restrictions come from the card network or issuer and cannot be overridden in Ramp with a travel notice or another card setting.
What should I do if my card is declined while traveling?
Check your SMS messages for a notification from Ramp. If the decline was caused by a fraud flag, reply to the SMS to confirm the transaction is legitimate, then retry. If the decline was for a different reason, see Transaction declines for troubleshooting steps.
Will I be charged fees for international transactions?
International transactions that clear in a currency other than USD may be subject to a currency conversion markup. See Foreign transaction fees for details.
