Overview
Ramp consolidates fees for Same-day ACH and Swift USD payments into a monthly billing statement. Instead of paying these fees on a per-bill basis at the time of each transaction, all applicable fees will be collected and presented in a single monthly statement, making it easier for you to track and reconcile bill-pay-related fees.
For every same-day ACH payment, a $10 fee will apply, and for international wire (SWIFT USD) payments, a $20 fee. These fees will be summarized and presented at the end of each monthly billing period in a clear, itemized statement. Learn more about bill pay payment methods here.
How bill pay fees are tracked and managed
Step 1: Selecting bills to be paid via same-day ACH or international wire (SWIFT USD)
When scheduling your bill, you will select your desired payment method. If same-day ACH or international wire for USD payments is selected, the associated fees for those methods will be displayed and a tooltip will show that the fees will be added to the Ramp billing statement.
The bill fees will not be debited from your account with the scheduled bill payment nor will they be synced over to your accounting provider with the bill. Bill payment fees will be added separately in a consolidated billing statement payment, and customers are responsible for accounting for those fees each month.

Step 2: Reviewing accrued fees in Ramp billing statement
Once the payment for the associated bill is complete and the bill is paid, Ramp will add any of the associated fees to the current Ramp billing statement period. To view Ramp bill fees history, follow the steps below.
- Click the three-dots more menu
- Select Bill fees history
- Review accrued fees for the current statement period
Step 3: Ramp billing statement payment
At the end of each statement period, Ramp will generate a billing statement summarizing all fees accrued during the billing period. This statement will include a breakdown by the type of payment, the number of transactions, and the total fee amount. Billing statement and associated payment can be viewed from the Bill fee history section.
If you are on the Ramp Plus plan, Bill Pay fees will be automatically added to your Ramp Plus subscription billing statement.
Bill Pay fees billing bank account
For customers not using Ramp Plus, Ramp will automatically set your billing bank account for Bill Pay fees as your associated credit card statement account once your first Bill Pay fee is incurred. If you have a multi-entity set up on Ramp, fees will be set to charge from the credit card statement account linked to the entity listed on the bill associated with the fee.
However, Admins can change the Billing bank account independently from card statement accounts at any time by going to the Bill fees menu.
Ramp Plus customers
Payment for the Bill Pay fees will be charged from your Ramp Plus billing account. If you have a multi-entity set up on Ramp, fees will be charged from the Plus billing account linked to the entity listed on the bill associated with the fee.
How payments will appear in bank entry
The service fee debits associated with this Ramp payment will show up in your bank entry as Ramp Fees.
How fees will be charged for Flexed bills
With Flex, you can finance your bill payments to vendors, including coverage of any transaction fees (today, this is Swift and Same-Day ACH fees). Flex fees are then based on the total bill amount as well as any transaction fees. Learn more about Flex.
Treatment for transaction fees on Flexed bills will behave a bit differently than treatment for transaction fees on non Flexed bills.
- We will still no longer include transaction fees as a line item on the bill, but it will continue to be included as part of your Flex amount.
- Transaction fees on Flexed bills will not be added to your monthly billing statement.
- At the end of your selected tenor, Ramp will automatically debit the bank account that you selected when financing the bill with Flex to repay the full bill amount, including these transaction fees.
In terms of accounting treatment, you can manually update your accounting system to account for the transaction fees at the time of repayment. You can learn more about Flex accounting here.
