Connect ChatGPT Enterprise to AI Token Spend Management

Overview

Connect ChatGPT Enterprise so Ramp can import your usage and cost data into AI Token Spend Management. This connection requires an OpenAI API key with an additional analytics scope that OpenAI grants on request.

This guide applies to businesses using the rest of Ramp's platform. If your business uses Ramp only for AI Token Spend Management, follow the standalone setup guide.

Before you connect ChatGPT Enterprise

Only Business Admins, Owners, and IT Admins can connect providers. If you have an Auditor or Finance Admin role, ask a Business Admin, Owner, or IT Admin to connect the provider.

Note: OpenAI requires the additional scope before you can connect ChatGPT Enterprise.

Connect ChatGPT Enterprise

In OpenAI Platform, select the organization that matches your ChatGPT workspace organization. The organization that owns the API key must match the organization that owns the ChatGPT workspace.
Go to OpenAI API keys. This connection requires a regular API key so that you can add the required scopes. Do not create an Admin API key.
Select Create new secret key. Name the key descriptively, such as enterprise_analytics_ramp, and scope it to read_only. Copy the secret key value when OpenAI displays it and store it in your organization's secure credential manager. OpenAI will not show it again.
Open the ChatGPT Admin console at chatgpt.com/admin and copy the Workspace ID from Workspace Settings.
Email [email protected] with your Workspace ID and the name of the key you created in Step 3. Ask OpenAI to add the codex.enterprise.analytics.read scope to that key. Do not send the secret key value by email.
After OpenAI confirms the scope has been added, return to the AI Token Spend page in Ramp and paste the saved key.
