Making card statement payments to Ramp

Note: This article primarily applies to Ramp Administrators. Cardholders may find other articles in the Payments, limits, and statements section to be more applicable.

Overview

Auto-pay automatically debits your account at the end of the card statement period for the full balance on your Ramp cards. Automatic payment from a linked bank account is not available for AUD, JPY, MXN, or SGD statements; see Locally-funded statement payments for the available payment methods. You can find out your current balance on Company >Statements & paymentstab.

Card statement payments

When auto-pay is available for your statement currency, it automatically debits your account at the end of the card statement period for the full balance on your Ramp cards.

Manual payments

Businesses with Ramp Cards on 1-day terms cannot make manual statement payments. Instead, add funds to the linked Ramp Checking Account. If you can view Ramp Checking and initiate transfers, select Deposit funds in Statements & payments. If you don't have those permissions, ask someone at your company who does to add the funds. Your spending power increases after the funds become available. See 1-day payment terms for details.

For other payment terms, if your company reaches the limit of the entire business, you can make a manual payment by navigating to Company >Statements & paymentstab and clicking Make manual payment. Here, you'll choose the amount you wish to make a payment for, the linked bank account you will be drawing from, whether you'd like Ramp to initiate a direct debit or, if available for your business, whether you'd like to send a wire transfer, and whether or not you'd like to use your available cashback.

Ramp card statement payments do not support PayPal or debit cards.

Payments made to Ramp may take up to 5 business days to affect your available balance. The amount of time it will take for a payment to affect your balance can be affected by previous failed payments, as well as a variety of other factors. The maximum number of pending payments depends on your linked bank account's payment history and number of business entities.

Early auto-pay

You can enable your business to pay off your balance once you reach a percentage of your total spend to help ensure you'll never get a decline due to reaching your business limit. Learn how to enable early automatic payments for your card statements here.

Early automatic payments can be blocked when your business reaches its maximum number of pending payments.

Wire transfers

You can also pay your card statements using wire transfers. This article provides more information about this.
