Linear integration: Connect a company account in Glass

Overview

Early Access. For access information, see Request access to Glass.

Important: These steps apply only when Linear is listed in your company's Glass plugin settings. If it isn't listed, ask your Glass admin to check availability before continuing.

Connect a shared Linear account so people in your business can use that account's access through Glass. This company connection uses Linear sign-in, not an API key.

Before you connect Linear

You need permission to manage Glass to connect a company account. If you don't have that access, ask your Glass admin to complete the connection.

Use a Linear account your team shares, not your own account. Anyone in your business who uses Glass can use what the company account can access. Glass uses the connected account's permissions; your company's plugin settings can limit access further.

Do not substitute an API-key connection for this company sign-in flow.

Connect the Linear company account

These steps use Glass in a web browser.

  1. Open Linear in your company's Glass plugin settings.
  2. Turn on Enabled if it is off.
  3. Under Company account, select Connect company account.
  4. Read the account-sharing notice and follow the sign-in instructions shown. Sign in to the intended shared Linear account and complete Linear's authorization flow. Do not sign in with your own account.
  5. Return to Linear's Company account section. Review the account name and status. If a workspace is shown, check that it is the intended workspace.

Wrong account or workspace: Stop setup and disconnect the incorrect company account. This stops Glass using that account for everyone in your business. Then repeat setup with the intended shared account.

No account appears: Follow Glass plugin connection troubleshooting to check the app, account, and any error before trying setup again.

Review or reconnect an existing Linear company account

If an account is already listed, review that connection before starting another setup. When an account is not active and Reconnect is offered, use it to repeat company sign-in with the intended shared account.
