Sage Intacct Sync Error | The following field does not reference an existing record: {field_name}
This error is being generated by Sage Intacct, and it typically indicates that a vendor record is missing, inactive, or not properly linked—not just a mismatch in merchant names.
Please verify in your Sage Intacct account that the relevant vendors are created and active. Below are a few possible scenarios that could be causing this error:
Possible causes:
- Vendor does not exist in Intacct: If Ramp matched the transaction to a merchant like “Uber,” but “Uber” hasn’t been created as a vendor in Sage Intacct, the sync will fail.
- Vendor mapping is missing or broken: If “Uber” is intended to map to a vendor like “Uber Technologies Inc.” in Intacct, but the mapping is missing, outdated, or broken, that will result in a sync error.
- Vendor is inactive: If the vendor exists in Sage Intacct but is marked as inactive or archived, Sage will prevent the transaction from syncing.
- Incorrect dimension reference: The sync may be referencing the wrong object type or vendor ID format (such as the wrong dimension key), which would also trigger this error.
How to resolve:
- Sign in to Sage Intacct.
- Confirm the vendor exists and is active.
- If using vendor mappings in Ramp, ensure the merchant is correctly mapped to the vendor in Intacct.
- Verify the dimension reference is pointing to the correct object type or vendor ID format.
- Return to Ramp and retry the sync.
