Routine Credit Account Review Overview
What is a routine account review?
We may conduct routine reviews on customer accounts from time to time, using a variety of information to properly underwrite and maintain credit limits for our customers and ensure we are providing a limit commensurate with the customer’s overall financial health and performance. This review takes multiple factors into consideration, including, but not limited to, your payment history, connected cash balances, spending history, and financial statements.
Why is my business being asked to complete this review?
There are multiple reasons that your business may be undergoing a review. The most common reason is that we want to ensure that your business limit continues to reflect your latest financials. We also use this information if you request a change in your credit limit, helping us give you an answer more quickly.
What documentation will my business need to provide?
Financial reviews will generally require the following documentation:
- Income Statements
- Balance Sheets
- Cash Flow Statements
We may also request additional supporting financial documentation after reviewing the documents above. These documents do not need to be audited.
We upload our bank statements monthly. Do we also have to complete this request for financials?
Yes, this review is a separate process from your bank statement uploads. Your financial statements generally provide a more detailed view of the business, which is important in allowing Ramp to better support your business spending limit.
How long do I have to provide the requested financial documentation?
Your business will generally have 4 weeks to upload the requested documentation. If an extension is required for any reason, please reach out to your Account Manager to let them know how much longer you will need. While extensions may not be guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate these on a case-by-case basis.
How often will my business be required to complete these reviews?
Reviews will be conducted at least annually, but the overall frequency may change based on your business spending limit at Ramp and individual circumstances.
What happens if I do not provide the requested documentation?
Ramp will attempt to complete the review with data available to us, and reserves the right to action your account as needed, including potential adjustments to your business spending limit.
What if there are nuances with my business, or extenuating circumstances I need to inform Ramp about?
This review process is to help us understand these nuances and be a better partner to your business. If you have any additional questions or context on your business, please reach out to your Account Manager or contact Ramp Support.
