NetSuite sync error: "Invalid Field Value" for item
Overview
If a NetSuite bill or vendor credit reports You have entered an Invalid Field Value 67 for the following field: item, 67 is the item's internal NetSuite ID. For vendor credits, Ramp may instead show Item cannot be used on this vendor credit with the item's ID and, when available, its name. Neither message confirms why NetSuite rejected the item.
Check whether the item supports purchases
- Match the number in the error to the item's Internal ID.
- Check the item's type and subtype in NetSuite. For Sale items can be rejected on vendor bills and credits. NetSuite describes purchase and sale subtypes for non-inventory items, service items, and other charge items.
- For those item types, replace a For Sale item with a suitable For Purchase or For Resale item. If you don't have one, ask your NetSuite administrator to set one up rather than assuming you can change an existing item's subtype.
Check whether the item is available to the subsidiary
- Confirm the item is available to the subsidiary associated with the bill or vendor credit.
- If it isn't, ask your NetSuite administrator to make it available there. See Oracle's item subsidiary guidance.
Retry the sync after fixing the item
- After fixing the item in NetSuite, reselect it in Ramp if needed and retry the bill sync. When a failed vendor credit shows a sync-failure notice, select Retry sync there.
- If the corrected item isn't available in Ramp: Try refreshing Accounting fields, then check for the item again. If it appears, select it and retry. Refreshing can reload NetSuite item options, but won't fix an ineligible item in NetSuite.
- If Retry sync isn't shown for the vendor credit, the item is still missing, or the sync fails again, contact Ramp Support with the affected bill or vendor credit, full error message, and item's internal NetSuite ID.
