NetSuite Sync Error | Inventory item is required to sync inventory line items

Overview

This NetSuite sync error occurs when a bill line requires an Inventory Item value to sync its inventory line items. To resolve it, add the required Inventory Item to each affected bill line. Follow the steps for whether or not the bill line is associated with a purchase order.

Bill line without a purchase order association

1. Ensure the Inventory Item field is enabled as an Accounting Field.
2. Add the Inventory Item to the bill line.

Bill line with a purchase order association

1. Ensure the Inventory Item field is enabled as an Accounting Field.
2. If a Purchase Order is attached to the line, click the three dots and select Remove PO Item.
3. Add the Inventory Item.
4. Click the three dots and select Add PO Item.
5. Select the Purchase Order line associated with the bill line.
6. Repeat these steps for each affected bill line.
