Ramp Checking Account Bank Feeds: Sage Intacct Set Up
This help guide details the steps to enable bank feeds in Sage Intacct, select Ramp, and establish the secure Plaid connection to automatically import transactions.
1. Enable Sage Cloud Services
Bank feeds require the Sage Cloud Services module to be active.
- Open Sage in an internet browser (e.g. Chrome or Safari etc...).
- Navigate to Company > Admin > Subscriptions .
- Scroll down to Sage Cloud Services .
- If not already enabled, click the slider or Configure to turn it on. You may be required to agree to terms.
- Once on the Configure Sage Cloud Services screen, ensure the box for Enable bank feeds is checked under the Enable Functionality section.
- Click Save in the top menu.
2. Connect the Bank Account to Plaid
You must connect the bank feed to an existing checking, savings, or credit card account record in Sage Intacct.
- Navigate to Cash Management > Checking (or the appropriate account type).
- Select Edit next to the specific account you want to connect.
- Go to the Banking cloud tab.
- Click the Connect button.
- A separate window will appear to connect your bank. In the Find your bank search bar:
- Search for Ramp.
- Select your bank from the results.
- Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Continue .
3. Authorize the Plaid Connection
The system will now use Plaid to securely connect to your online banking portal.
- A Plaid window will open. Click Continue as guest (if prompted) or Continue to sign-in .
- Follow the prompts to sign in to your Ramp account (or the proxy bank account). This may involve multi-factor authentication.
- Review the data access permissions requested by Plaid and click Allow (or the corresponding confirmation button).
- Plaid will display a list of all your accounts from that bank. Select the accounts you want to connect to Sage Intacct.
- Click Continue .
4. Finalize Connection Details
- You will be prompted to select the date from which you want to download transactions ( Download starting from ).
- Note: Sage Intacct typically recommends a start date no more than 30 days in the past due to bank limitations. Select your desired date.
- Click Continue .
- A final screen will confirm the bank connection. The status of your account on the Banking cloud tab will change to Connected .
- Click Save on the bank account details screen.
Your Ramp transactions will now begin to import automatically into the Bank Transactions screen, ready for reconciliation.
