Overview
Ramp offers robust controls over corporate credit cards, including the ability to easily replace cards when needed. This article covers when and how to reorder a card and what happens when you do.
For security reasons, each reorder creates a new Ramp card with different details. If a second physical card is issued and activated, the original card is automatically terminated.

How to reorder physical cards
Reordering physical cards differs from virtual cards. As each Ramp user can only have one physical card, ordering and activating a new one will terminate the previous card. Users may only be reissued a physical card once through their account. For additional physical cards, please contact our support team.
I never received my card
- Log in on the web and go to the Physical cards section > Funds & cards tab
- Click on the physical card and select Replace card
- Select "Card was never received or has incorrect shipping address"
- Enter the shipping address to re-order
We recommend that you double-check your shipping address before placing another order and that you order it to a place where you know you can receive this package. - Click on Request New Card
How can I reorder an activated card?
- On the web, select the physical card you want to replace. If you don't have a card or it was terminated, order a new one instead.
- At the bottom of the card details page, click Replace card. Choose the appropriate reason for replacement: "card was lost or stolen" or "card is damaged."
- Enter your address details and click terminate & replace card/request a new card to finalize the order.
We'll process your order (1-3 days) and ship your new card with tracking and 2-day shipping. Tracking information will be available on your Ramp dashboard.
Possible reasons to reorder
This section covers reorder options and common scenarios for each.
What to do if my card is lost/stolen
- Immediately terminates current card
- Best for replacing compromised or lost/stolen cards
What to do if my card is damaged
- Current card remains active until the new card is activated
- Best for worn or defective cards that are still usable
- Not recommended for compromised cards
What to do if my card was never received
- Immediately terminates previously ordered card
- Use only when a (re)ordered card didn't arrive
- Verify shipping address before reordering
What to do if my card is defective or has incorrect information
- If you need to change the name listed on your card, update your name first through your Ramp Personal Settings page. See this article for further instructions on profile updates.
- Contact Ramp Support to resolve other underlying issues, as reordering may repeat the problem.
Other reasons not specified
- Select "Card was lost/stolen" for immediate termination
- Select "Card is damaged" to keep the current card active until the new card activation
How to reorder virtual cards
As you can create virtual cards instantly at your convenience, "reordering" a virtual card is the same process as just creating one.
