Overview
With Ramp’s and AAdvantage Business™ integration, your flight receipts for business travel are automatically sent to your Ramp account – where they are seamlessly collected, verified, and matched to corresponding expenses.
How to set up Ramp’s AAdvantage Business™ integration
- Login to your AAdvantage Business™ account using your personal AAdvantage® log in (don’t have an account? Register your business for free.)
- Add your Ramp account’s email domain as a trusted email domain in the AAdvantage Business™ travel management portal (Settings > Email domains)
- Once your email domain is verified, toggle Ramp integration in the AAdvantage Business™ travel management portal (Settings > Integrations)
- Invite employees to register with your company’s AAdvantage Business™ account (guide)
- Receipts will only sync for employees registered with your AAdvantage Business™ account with the same email as their Ramp profile

Book business travel with AAdvantage Business™ program
When booking on aa.com or in the American app, Travel Managers and registered travelers should select ‘Business’ from the ‘Travel type’ dropdown before searching flights.
If booking through an agency, make sure they’ve included your business account number, necessary remarks, and registered traveler's AAdvantage® number before traveling (For step-by-step instructions on booking travel, you can also share the Booking with an Agency guide with your agency partner). This ensures that your business travel receipts sync with your Ramp account.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- How do I disable the integration? What happens if I disable it? To disable the integration, navigate to your AAdvantage Business™ travel management poral Settings > Integrations, and toggle off Ramp.
- Will receipts for non-ticket purchases, such as seat upgrades and in-flight meals, also get synced through to Ramp? Currently, only AAdvantage Business™ ticket purchase receipts will be synced with your Ramp account.
- How soon after I book a flight should I expect to see the receipt? Receipts are shared with Ramp at the time of ticketing, which is within a few seconds of the booking. There is occasionally a longer delay, but rarely.
- What happens if a booking from an employee or contractor in our AAdvantage Business™ account doesn’t map to an employee or contractor in our connected Ramp solution? Receipts will sync only if the employee is registered with your company’s AAdvantage Business™ account with the same email address as their Ramp profile. If Ramp is unable to match the receipt to an employee or contractor, the receipt will be discarded.
