Summary
Ramp doesn’t provide a traditional bank feed because:
-
Transactions are already synced automatically and completely.
-
Manual imports and matching are unnecessary.
-
Adding a bank feed would create duplicate entries and more work.
-
You can still reconcile your bank statement against synced transactions for proper controls.
This approach saves time, reduces errors, and keeps your accounting clean and accurate.
Context
Ramp’s direct ERP integrations replace the need for a bank feed. Instead of importing transactions and manually categorizing them, Ramp sends fully detailed and categorized transactions straight into your accounting system.
Each Ramp transaction is synced as a complete record. This means there’s no need to import data from a separate bank feed and then match or reconcile it. If Ramp offered a traditional bank feed, it would only duplicate data and create extra work—forcing you to reconcile Ramp-created transactions against a feed also generated by Ramp.
Importantly, monthly reconciliation still happens where it should: at the bank account level. At the end of each billing cycle, Ramp pulls a statement payment from your linked bank account. Ramp syncs both the statement payment and all individual card transactions into your ERP. You can then reconcile the total payment with the related transactions—just like you would with a traditional card.
