Replaces MyRamp and Inbox with a new homepage, centralizing task completion and improving task visibility for Managers and Admin. Cardholders will see little change.
What is this product?
- Introduce scalable component sections for tasks, alerts, and FYIs to improve task management and ensure users can efficiently focus on relevant tasks in a prioritized order.
Why are we doing this?
- We believe showing a consolidated and prioritized task list will simplify navigation for users and improve time-to-completion rates for core actions. For context, tasks are currently split across Inbox, MyRamp, and other product pages.
FAQ
Primarily Designed for Managers Approving Transactions
- Centralizes all approval tasks on the Homepage.
- Expenses that have requirements completed and no flags or policy exceptions are separated into a ‘Ready to Approve’ section to facilitate quick approvals
- Expenses with flags or policy are separated into a ‘Need attention’ section to encourage individual review.
- When an object group has 5 or less objects, it will be expanded to show key details to facilitate action directly from the Homepage.
No Changes for Employees or Accounting Teams
- Employee experience remains unchanged, except renaming MyRamp to 'Home'—no change management required.
- Intentionally, there is no embedded accounting functionality; accountants continue using the existing accounting table because we see it as the best surface to complete the job—no change management required.
Few Functional Changes for Administrators
- Administrators will generally see collapsed views because they have more tasks to complete. As such, the experience will be very similar to the Inbox, though Administrators will now have visibility into key business-level notifications like statement payment status.
Flexible Navigation Between Homepage and Inbox
- Inbox and Homepage display identical transaction objects (Expenses, Bill Pay, Procurement, Funds, etc.). If you’d like to use Inbox, do so by:
- Clicking modules when collapsed (e.g., 'Need attention' in the provided diagram).
- Clicking the three-dot menu when expanded (e.g., 'Ready to approve' in diagram).
Customizable Viewing Experience
- Collapse any section using the caret to reduce clutter; collapsed sections remain hidden until reopened. Quickly navigate to your personal expenses via the dedicated tab.
All Users Access MyExpenses Table by Navigating to Bottom of ‘Recent Expenses’
- For Managers and Administrators, Homepage combines MyRamp and Inbox → you navigate to the MyExpenses table the same way Employees do.
- For Employees, MyRamp is re-named to ‘Home’ but there are no functional changes outside the entry point to the MyRamp table.
