Overview
The Hotel Price Drop feature from Ramp Travel monitors your refundable hotel reservations and automatically rebooks your stay if the price drops by more than $50. This ensures you always get the best deal without any additional effort.
The feature saves money by securing better rates, encourages the use of Ramp Travel through tangible savings, and sets Ramp apart by offering auto-rebooking without extra fees or limitations.
This feature is available as part of Ramp's standard product.
How it works
Once you book a refundable hotel through Ramp Travel, the feature monitors price drops. If a price drop of more than $50 is detected for the same room type, Ramp automatically rebooks at the lower rate. The original reservation is canceled only after the new one is confirmed, avoiding any gap or risk of losing a room.
Step 1
Book a refundable hotel stay using Ramp Travel. The full amount is charged to your Ramp card at booking.
Step 2
Ramp checks the hotel's price regularly until the room is no longer fully refundable, typically within a few days of check-in.
Step 3
If the price drops by more than $50 for the same room type, a new reservation at the lower price is created on the same card.
Step 4
Once the new reservation is confirmed, the original is canceled, ensuring continuous reservation.
Step 5
Travelers receive an email confirming the savings and new booking details. Refunds are generally processed within 12–26 hours.
