Overview
Ramp has received the following error message from your Accounting Provider QuickBooks Online:
We weren't able to sync across the following transactions, as you are using a version of QuickBooks that does not support this feature.
Or
Feature Not Supported Error : We're sorry. This feature is not included in your [QuickBooks Online Essentials or QuickBooks Simple Start]
Why is this happening?
This error means either:
The Ramp user is using Quicken Simple Start (discontinued) or Quicken Essentials (discontinued) , which Ramp does not support.
or
The Ramp user is attempting to sync the following fields from a unsupported version of QuickBooks (Simple Start or Essentials, both discontinued):
- Billable
- QuickBooks Customer/Job
How do I resolve this error?
You must either remove the Billable and/or QuickBooks Customer/Job field(s) from Ramp. If they use QuickBooks Simple Start, you cannot use Ramp bill pay or reimbursements.
What are the available QuickBooks subscriptions?
As of July 30, 2024, the following QuickBooks versions are available for purchase:
- QuickBooks Solopreneur (functionality with Ramp unknown)
- QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Enterprise
- QuickBooks for Mac Plus
What happened to QuickBooks Essentials and QuickBooks Desktop?
QuickBooks Desktop 2024 is discontinued but still supported through May 2027. Users who own the product (as well as QB Desktop 2024 + Enhanced Payroll + QB Payment) can continue using it through May 2027. After May 2027, any features requiring internet access are unavailable.
All versions of QuickBooks Desktop 2021 are discontinued.
