What Should You Do When You Receive This Notification?
Some privacy features can cause Ramp to send this notification even if you sign in from a device and browser you’ve used before.
Incognito mode and private browsing, as well as clearing your cookies, make it harder for Ramp to recognize the browser you use. If this applies, you might receive this notification when signing in from a previously-used device and browser. If you recognize the login details in the notification, no further action is needed.
Services like Apple’s Private Relay and some VPNs can also lead to incorrect location information in this notification. If you received this notification, Ramp did not recognize your browser, so be sure to take a close look at the details. If you’re using a corporate VPN, check with your company if the IP address in the notification is used by your company’s VPN for internet traffic. If you use a common consumer service like Apple’s Private Relay or Google Fi’s VPN, the service you use should be identified as the ISP. Other details, like your device, browser, and the date and time of login should look familiar.
