What are GSA rates / Location-Based Per Diem?
This is a feature under Travel Policy that allows admins to set per diem rates based on GSA (General Services Administration) rates specific to the travel destination. It also gives admins the option to apply a multiplier to provide a buffer for their employees' expenses. This helps ensure employees has sufficient daily spend as it is adjusted to where they travel to. For areas not covered by GSA rates, including international travel, the Default Per Diem is used.
Note that Ramp's Location-Based Per Diem does not yet account for lower rates on the first and last day of travel, as specified by GSA guidelines.
