It allows firms to easily connect with their clients' Ramp financial operations, providing a centralized access point for financial oversight and assistance. Sometimes, a business relationship ends, and it becomes necessary to update these connections. This article will guide you through the simple steps to modify or remove client and accounting firm connections on Ramp's Advisor Console.
How to remove a client as an Accounting firm
- Navigate to the Clients Page: Begin by logging into your Advisor Console and proceed to the 'Clients' page.
- Select the Client: Click on the name of the client you wish to remove.
- Remove Connection: Look for the red 'Remove Connection' button and click on it. This action will remove the client from both your Advisor Console and disconnect your firm on the client's Ramp instance.
*Note: Only Console Admins have the authority to perform this operation.*
How to remove your Accounting firm on Ramp
- Access the Accounting firms page: Use the navigation bar in your Ramp account to find the 'People' section and select 'Accounting firms.'
- Select the Accounting firm: Click on the desired accounting firm's name.
- Remove the firm: Look for the red 'Remove firm from Advisor Console' button and click it. This will revoke all access previously granted to the accounting firm, including any associated staff members.

How to manage staff access to client accounts
- Visit the Team Members Page: Go to the 'Team Members' page in your Advisor Console dashboard.
- Remove Staff Member: Click on the staff member who is leaving to open their profile, then select the red 'Remove from Advisor Console' button and confirm the action.
- Assign New Staff Member: Next, find the staff member you wish to assign to the clients. Click their name, then use the yellow 'Add [User Name] to Clients' button. Repeat this for each client needing a new staff assignment.
How to manage client billing for Ramp service fees
Turning on client billing
Ramp can charge your client directly for their fees or bill your firm on their behalf. To manage your client billing options:
- Navigate to Client tab
- Select respective client
- Toggle “Manage Ramp service fees through the console” on/off
Once client billing is toggled on for the client, fees paid by the advisor will only show in the Advisor Console. The client will still be responsible for any Ramp service fees incurred before client billing was toggled on.
Managing Ramp Plus for your client
Only advisor accounts given admin access to the clients Ramp account can adjust Ramp Plus settings. For clients to give advisors the ability to add admin use:
- Navigate to the Company
- Select People tab
- Select Accounting firms tab
- Select respective client
- Click edit
- Toggle allowed roles
