GitHub integration: Connect a company account in Glass
Overview
Connect GitHub through the plugin's Company account section to give Glass a shared connection, rather than connecting your personal account. Anyone in your business who uses Glass can use what this account can access. Choose the account and repositories with that shared access in mind.
Early Access. For access information, see Request access to Glass.
Prepare GitHub repository access
You need permission to manage company plugins in Glass. If you cannot access those settings, ask your Glass admin to complete the connection.
Install Glass by Ramp in your GitHub organization. Choose All repositories or Only select repositories for the repositories your company wants Glass to use. A GitHub organization owner may need to approve the installation. If the app is already installed for the repositories you need, skip installation.
Glass can access only repositories available to both the installed app and the connected GitHub account. Installing the app does not replace connecting the account in Glass.
Connect the GitHub company account
- In the GitHub company plugin in company plugin settings, turn on Enabled if it is off.
- Under Company account, if the intended account is already Connected, skip the remaining connection steps. If no account is listed, select Connect company account. If an account is listed with another status, follow the company-account reconnection guidance instead.
- Review the GitHub setup instructions and shared-access notice. Use the account your company intends to share, not your own account.
- Select Continue to sign in to GitHub. If Glass offers a private-window setup link, follow its instructions to choose the intended account instead.
- Complete the GitHub authorization, then return to Glass. Check the account listed under Company account and confirm its status is Connected.
